The State Service is an equal opportunity employer that utilises the diversity of the community it services. An e-brochure has been developed to promote the Government's employment program for people with disability and to raise the awareness of the benefits of participating in the program.

Right Job Right Person is now being rolled out across the Department of Health and Human Services and has been received enthusiastically by all employees. The roll out involves training all hiring managers on the benefits of using the Right Job Right Person framework.

The GCC is a 125-day pedometer-based activity which encourages employees to be active and healthy as part of their working day. The 2009 challenge runs from 21 May to 22 September
An update on Planning for Our Future

As part of the Planning for our Future project, a State Workforce Profile was developed along with profiles for individual agencies. As one of the recommendations from the State Workforce Profile report, agencies were invited to nominate representatives to attend the Workforce Planning and Demographics Network.
